TAIWAN EXPO 2018 is the second edition in Indonesia and is considered as an important milestone in the development of Taiwan’s bilateral trade relations with its neighboring countries. This came about with the implementation of Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy to create mutually beneficial partnerships with its new southbound partners. The expo is not only showcasing products, services and information but also creating platforms for Taiwan and Indonesia with further cooperation and interaction.

With this policy in mind, the Taiwan government has joined the latest slew of countries that are tapping on the voluminous global halal market by establishing the Halal Centre on April 21 last year to facilitate the establishment of a unified platform for promoting the country’s halal industry.
